Our Story

A shared love of our tuxedo cats brought us together in 2021. Our first date at Scofflaw in August turned into more when, on their second date, Drew took Taylor to one of his favorite places, The Museum of Contemporary Art, unaware that the main exhibit was a gallery of naked butt paintings. Drew was mortified and Taylor thought it was one of the funniest, most unique dates she'd ever been taken on.

Drew knew he was officially in L.U.V. with Taylor when she talked the bartender at Matilda's in Lakeview into surprising him with his first shot of Malört, followed by suggesting a trip to New York to explore all restaurants and bars as they could manage over a long weekend. This trip confirmed it for Taylor, too. She was the first to say, "I think I kinda love you".

The next year, we took the big step of moving in together, which meant an even bigger milestone: finally letting the cats meet. Socks loves having a cat mother, Beanz occasionally tolerates having a cat dad. From there, life became one adventure after another, with themed parties, secret date nights, ski outings, broomball games, concerts, pierogi-making, more restaurants and bars than we can count, trips around the U.S. and Mexico, and much more.

In 2025, we traveled to Europe together— a trip that felt different from the rest. Rooted in our Polish and Czech heritage, it was a journey filled with food, history, and a deep sense of homecoming. On August 31, at Prague Castle, he asked her to marry him. She said yes.
